Tandoori Chicken Recipe, from our academy’s recipe selection.
1kg chicken drumsticks
2 tsps fresh ginger, finely grated
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp ground coriander
1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon
100g plain yoghurt
juice of 1 lemon
Place the drumsticks in a bowl.
Mix the remaining ingredients together in a separate bowl and pour over the chicken.
Mix well to cover each drumstick in the marinade.
Refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 180 ̊C/350 ̊F.
Transfer chicken and marinade to a foil lined tray.
Cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Suggestion: Serve with a big leafy salad or greens.
Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
